As a kid lit illustrator and author, my focus is on centering South Asian characters in various socio-emotional moments, whether it be a teachable moment about personality, or a bond between father and daughter, the stories I’d like to share are filled with love.
In today's world of publishing, the statistics for the number of books featuring animals as main characters far outweigh the number of books featuring POC characters.
My goals as an illustrator/author? Normalize South Asian characters in everyday stories—stories of whimsy and joy, with emphasis on social-emotional learning.
